The said facility was funded by the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) of the City that was given by the DILG. The PCF is an incentive program of the DILG that recognizes local government units exhibiting good performance in internal housekeeping particularly in the areas of planning, fiscal management, transparency and accountability and valuing performance management.

Mayor Eric Saratan welcomed Secretary Roxas and Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon who came to Talisay City for the said activity. Mayor Saratan thanked Roxas for extending help for the City.

The Health Station and Birthing Facility will help people in the nearby communities of Dos Hermanas and would have easy access of the service.

The DILG conducted a people’s consultation “pulong-pulong” and gathered other suggestions that might be addressed by the DILG and the Local Government.

Mayor Saratan also added that the City of Talisay is earning these points due to the performance that it gives to the people by leading the City on its vision and preparing each Barangay and community to gather and unite for the betterment of the City.*
